Our i-units put physical literacy first

Rather than teaching children a sport before they have the skills to take part, our i-units build the fundamental movement skills that sit underneath PE — running, jumping, throwing, catching, balance, coordination and movement control.

But physical development is only part of the lesson. Teamwork, communication, problem-solving, confidence and decision-making are deliberately built into the activities too.

The result is a more holistic approach to PE: children develop the physical, social and personal skills that help them participate.
