Primary CPD for PE and Active Learning

Want a confident team in dance, PE and active learning?

Our CPD is practical, active and built for busy primary staff.

Work brilliantly as a twilight, INSET, or a deeper half/full-day.

Teaching Primary Dance with Confidence

Everything your staff need to teach primary dance with confidence — even if they “don’t do dance”. We’ll make rhythm and structure simple (finding the beat and phrase), show you how to build a theme using the 6 principles of dance, and help you create performances using easy-to-teach movement ideas.

Workshops can be delivered as 1–2 hour twilight sessions, or as a deeper half/full-day where we support staff 1:1 and help embed learning into lessons.

“The staff and I thoroughly enjoyed the twilight session you delivered Tuesday evening.  I even held a dance session at lunchtime and showed the children how to do it. They loved it! So many, many thanks for your support".

Miss Burns, PE Co-ordinator

Developing The Whole Child Through PE

Learn how to build an inclusive, child-focused PE approach that’s clear to teach, engaging for every pupil, and develops the personal and transferable skills inspectors look for (alongside physical competence and confidence).

Workshops can be delivered as 1–2 hour twilight sessions, or as a deeper half/full-day where we support staff 1:1 and help embed learning into real PE lessons.

"Thanks so much - what a brilliant day! We had such fun and all teachers agreed that it was the best PE CPD that we have ever had"

Mr Rodgers, PE Lead, Sheffield

Creating a truly Active School

A practical workshop to help you embed movement across the whole school day, not just in PE. You’ll take away ready-to-use ideas for active routines, classroom movement, transitions, breaktimes, and a simple approach to getting staff buy-in.

Perfect if you want a consistent, whole-school approach that boosts focus, behaviour and wellbeing without adding pressure to teachers.

"Movement and physical activity are such an important part of a child’s education to enable them to learn. Thanks to everyone at imoves for there fabulous ideas"

Supporting Mental Wellbeing in a Primary School Setting

Practical, age-appropriate tools to support emotional, social and physical wellbeing, aligned with RSHE/PSHE expectations and designed to work in real classrooms.

You’ll leave with simple activities, language and tools that help children feel safe, settled and ready to learn. Plus ideas you can use during moments that matter (transitions, friendship issues, anxiety, low mood, big feelings).

"I first used imoves in class for children's mental health week and found the children responded really well to it. I like it because it is pitched at the right level for the children and the mix of movement and meditation is brilliant!"

Give staff the confidence to teach safe, simple Pilates-inspired movement to children,  supporting posture, core strength, balance and control in a way that works in PE or the classroom.

You’ll learn easy progressions, clear teaching cues, and practical ways to build these movements into routines children actually enjoy.
