imoves is an innovative educational platform designed for primary schools, aimed at supporting teachers in delivering an active curriculum, both in physical education and in the classroom. Our mission? To help schools around the globe foster a more active learning environment. Why? Because active learning is proven to boost students' academic performance, mental wellness, resilience, focus, and mood.
A series of engaging 3-10 minute video activities designed for children to follow along in classrooms or on big screens in halls.
These activities, simple yet effective, consist of two active blasts a day - one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
But that's not all. We also introduced the thumb-o-metre tool, a unique feature to help teachers gauge and monitor the mood and energy levels in the room, before and after each activity.
Meet Hanna, a Finnish teacher who embraced our innovation. Integrating imoves into her daily routine was a breeze, thanks to its well-structured and user-friendly design. She slightly tweaked the program to include multiple videos in the morning, finding the short duration perfectly manageable and beneficial.
The Lasting Impact
Thanks to imoves, Hanna's students have developed a keen interest in various forms of movement. They're learning to appreciate their bodies, understand the importance of stretching, and build strength. What's more, Hanna uses imoves to create an inclusive learning environment, participating alongside her students and fostering a sense of equality in the classroom.
Additionally, as imoves originates from the UK, the videos are in English, offering an excellent opportunity for language learning and student collaboration. Despite language diversity in Hanna's class, students find the videos easy to follow and even help each other in understanding English, making language learning a fun, collective experience.
