1. What are brain breaks?
Brain breaks are short breaks from classroom learning that give children an opportunity to move, reset or change pace before returning to their next activity.
2. What are Active Blasts?
Active Blasts are short, follow-along brain breaks and movement activities designed for primary-aged children. Teachers choose a video, press play and children follow the on-screen instructor.
3. How long are Active Blasts?
Most activities last between 2 and 10 minutes, making them easy to fit between lessons, during transitions or at other points in the school day.
4. What types of activities are included?
There are 250+ videos covering movement and fitness, dance, yoga and Pilates, wellbeing, cheerleading and other activities.
5. Do I need equipment or lots of space?
All the Active Blasts are designed for normal classrooms and need little or no equipment. Any additional requirements are clearly identified.

They can be used at the start of the day, between lessons, during transitions, after periods of sitting or whenever a class would benefit from getting active, refocusing or calming down.

Activities are designed for primary-aged children from 4–11, with options suitable for infant or junior schools.
