Frequently Asked Questions
What's happens next when I sign up for this?
You'll get immediate access to the resources via our online platform. As school admin, you'll then quickly share access with all your colleagues. There's a short welcome video which talks you through everything and includes a few practical hints and tips on how to get the best out of the resources. But this is really 'belt and braces', as it's all pretty self explanatory. You should plan to start on a Monday - this will give you time for your entire team to get logged in and familiarise themselves with the programme.
Is imoves inclusive and suitable for everyone?
All our activities are designed to be enjoyed by everyone - irrespective of their gender, ethnicity, religion, ability, fitness or background. Here's what one teacher told us recently:
"I used imoves in a somewhat crowded classroom. The kids absolutely loved it, especially as they could join in the songs. Everybody was able to access the moves including 2 autistic children. I borrowed my husbands fit bit for a week and entered the cardio zone through imoves - it is great fun!"
Will it really make a significant difference in just 10 days?
Absolutely! Independent studies have now proven the science behind what we've known and experienced over the last 15 years! You'll see measurable changes in how your children feel, behave and learn in just 10 days. And you will even be able to measure these changes with our unique thumb-o-meter!
What do I need to take part?
Tech wise, each classroom needs a suitable device to login to our easy to use secure platform and interactive white board / large screen / projector on which to play our videos so all the children can see them from their desks. All our activities are 'plug and play'. Just press 'play' and your children follow the moves on screen from their desks
Can everyone get involved / need to be involved?
It really is up to you! From our perspective, the more the better. If you want to 'test the water' with a few more enthusiastic teachers, that's fine. Not everyone needs to do this at the same time. But please be warned - this stuff is infectious!
How much time will this really take?
There really is virtually no preparation and planning time. Just press 'play' and let the children follow the imoves on screen. Each activity is designed to take roughly 5 minutes. You can join in as little (or as much) as you want!
What will Ofsted think?
Developing the 'whole child' and personal wellbeing is a BIG factor in the latest Ofsted review. Using our approach, your children will be better engaged, spend more time 'in the room' and 'on task' and overall behaviour will improve. Your children will achieve more, learn more and progress more. And they'll be happier and healthier learners. What's not to LOVE!
This is a great deal - what’s the catch?
There isn't one. We just want you and your team to experience the massive benefits of getting kids more active throughout the school day. And of course we hope that you will love what we do so much that imoves will become part of the ongoing plans for your school.
What if we want more?
You won't be the first! We really hope that you and your team experience the massive benefits of getting kids more active throughout the school day, and that you want to continue to do this with the support of imoves. And needless to say, we will be delighted to discuss and find the best solutions for you and your school.
How will I measure and my evidence results
We'll give you everything you need to track progress and impact. Each of your teachers is encouraged to carry out a short 5 minute online 'before' assessment before they start the programme. They follow this up with a similar 'after' assessment at the end of the 10 day programme, so that progress can be assessed. Teachers are also encouraged to use our fun 'thumb-o-meter' to get feedback from the children before and after each activity. Each teacher can see their own results, and you as the head teacher will have access to the results for your entire school.
